Hewlett-Packard Profit Jumps on Market Share Gains (Update3) By Connie Guglielmo Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Hewlett-Packard Co. said fourth- quarter profit jumped fourfold after it reclaimed the title of world's largest personal-computer maker from rival Dell Inc. Net income rose to $1.7 billion, or 60 cents a share, from $416 million, or 14 cents, a year earlier. Sales rose 7.2 percent to $24.6 billion, Palo Alto, California-based Hewlett-Packard said in a statement today.
